Well I thought I was tired before holidays!! Action packed 5 days. We visited Dreamworld yet again and I will never ever go on the Wipeout ever ever in my life again. I don't care that 11 and 12 years olds can review this ride and say that they enjoyed it. Jen had the kids at WiggleWorld, Rob didn't get on it so basically I was just keeping Mark company. Within 10 seconds I was telling him how much I 'hated' him. I had my legs spread as wide as could be, my right leg jammed under Marks and I couldn't stop its nervous quivering. I was totally terrified. A few swear words could be heard amidst the apologies I was throwing to the teenage boys sitting next to me!! I kept my eyes shut the whole ride and went off to the quite tame by comparison, Cyclone Roller Coaster to recover!!
Too much food, alcohol, late nights, food, early mornings, food. I came back a big rolly polly. First stop, The Gym. Treadmill creaked and groaned as my jelly belly tossed up and down. Sight not to behold.
We also brought back our new addition to our household, Ockie the Abyssinian. The flight was a bit turbulent and the landing was all over the show so she was very relieved to see our 2 friendly faces looking in her cage saying her name. She is 11 years old and has settled in quite nicely. She is a bit spooked by the great outdoors. The neighbourhood cats have been over to check her out and the first train that went past scared her a little. But she has done a bit of exploring and spent the majority of the weekend out in the backyard.
My casual position finished up last Friday but they have asked me in on Tuesday - how does that work??!! Anyway job hunting is now on my agenda, probably gonna be a bit difficult before Xmas but take it as it comes. I applied for a dream job on Thursday but so far no response. I will just enjoy some time off before life becomes busy again.
Had lovely Lime Leaf Thai dinner last night, curry and red wine, followed by dvd's and red wine on the white wine couch (so called cos it is a cream couch!!) - very enjoyable
Lifes great
Now wheres the position vacant ads

and it gets even better
My new boss (albeit temporary casual one!!) likes to bet on the gee-gees. All his mates ring up and he goes to great lengths justifying why or why not he has picked a particular horse in a particular race on a particular track.
I put my once yearly bet on the Melbourne Cup - $5 each way on Viewed - number 10. Basically I did it because the Sunday paper writer said to pray for rain and it had rained buckets for two days. But unbeknown to me it wasn't a heavy track!! But Bart Cummings did train him and he is the record holder.
So history shows that Viewed won!! And the odds were something like 46-1 so I pocketed $302. You gotta love that!! Now I jokingly try to give my boss tips!!!
And the even better thing is that Kelly and I are jetting off to Queensland soon, only 5 days but wow they are gonna be action packed. Dreamworld, Wet 'n Wild, Casino/dinner - 3 things booked already. And we will bring our new house mate back. Ockie the cat...photos soon!!
We both need the break and are both looking forward to catching up with my sisters family again - twice in 6 months!!

Couching it
Oh remember those child-free days!! How much time did I have??
Well this weekend I am child free until Monday night. I have Kelly for Cup Day - gotta love having a Public Holiday for a horse race. I love being an Australian, Victorian, Melburnian (and can someone please explain why we drop the 'o' from Melbourne to Melburnian?)
So last night I wasted time - fantastically delicious
Hit the couch with takeaway Thai, a couple bottles of red, some dodgy DVD's and some great company.
Who would have thought this 41 year old still had it in her, 5.00am bed beckoned and of course I woke up at 7.00!!
Totally in recovery mode today. Water, toast/bread, water, lollies, water, read paper
